ERINDALE COLLEGE
Student Center

Competition, 1996
Building area of 31,000 SF

The Center includes common public spaces, meeting rooms, pub, cafe, exhibition spaces and reused administrative building. The idea created an atrium between an existing office building and the landscape that emerged from the grounds. Centralized tree like columns were laterally braced by the existing office building. The displacement system within the atrium provided quality air at the occupied level.

Project developed with structural and mechanical engineering expertise of the New York Office of Ove ARUP & Partners USA.
